The Seasteading Institute
Arts and Culture Manager for Ephemerisle - a festival of politics, community, and art!
"Ephemerisle is an opportunity for self-exploration and self-expression. We want you to bring your art, your ideas, your passion for freedom and share them with others who, like you, want more and better options for how we live in the world. We imagine an event where people move from boat to boat, raft to raft, sharing ideas and connecting with each other, forming new communities. We imagine passionate debates and lively discussion on every subject under the sun. We imagine dancing and music, art and commerce, politics and community, freedom and discovery.
On Friday, October 2nd, 2009, staff and volunteers will anchor central boats and platforms that will make up the heart of Ephemerisle at a location most likely near the Paradise Point Marina in Stockton. Participants will be invited to bring their craft and join us, building an eclectic temporary village of boats, rafts, barges, junks, and any other vessel they wish. We will stay on the water through Sunday the 4th, providing opportunities for everyone who attends to meet, talk, celebrate, perform, and otherwise participate in whatever way they choose."
